Dr Joanna Binato

This was followed by her Master’s in Orthodontics at the same university, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Moving to Europe Joanna completed her Master’s Degree in Dental Medicine in Portugal. In 2019 she moved to the UK, where she started to work as Orthodontist in Southampton and London.

Dr Joanna is a Platinum Invisalign provider and has great experience with fixed braces for children and adults, using the most advanced methods of treatment. She now has a solid background working as a dentist for almost 20 years and 15 years as an orthodontist.

Following qualification as a Specialist Orthodontist in Brazil, she worked at her private practice and also as Orthodontist at The Brazilian Air-force (Lieutenant) for 8 years. She is a very motivated and experienced orthodontist and is always doing her best to provide dental health, function and aesthetics for patients. Joanna has great interpersonal skills with kindness and empathy. She has passion for searching, researching, learning and acquiring scientific and clinical knowledge and has been closely involved in teaching and the latest techniques by attending regular meetings and courses. She worked as a Lecturer in a Private Dental School teaching orthodontics for 5 years.

Joanna has clinical interest in children and adult orthodontics, Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry to give the final touch on her orthodontic patients for a complete and beautiful smile makeover.

Joanna lives in Southampton and enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, doing yoga, meditation and she is passionate about studying emotions, consciousness and mindfulness.

BDS - Batchelor of Dental Surgery - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Post-graduation in Dental Pediatrics - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

MSc – Master’s Degree in Orthodontics - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

MSc – Master’s Degree in Dental Medicine - Universidade Catholica, Portugal.
