Ricky qualified in 1998 from the University Central Venezuela where he gained a first class honours degree and he was awarded his first degree in Lisbon University a year later. After a period working in private practice in Madeira, his ancestral home, he decided to move to London, where he has been living and working since 2002. (He’s now a fiercely proud Londoner!)
Having worked in both NHS and private practice, Ricky is passionate about the impact and importance of maintaining good oral health on general health and wellbeing. With a special interest in orthodontics, he has taken part in numerous training programmes in the UK and internationally and is currently working towards an MSc in orthodontics. He has extensive experience of orthodontic cases, working with children and adults using traditional braces as well as Invisalign.
Following a family tradition, Ricky is a keen foodie and loves to cook and entertain at home, and he is particularly known for his baking. Also a regular at the gym, Ricky likes to keep fit.
