Clarity on clear braces

Discover-01

Clear braces enjoy all the benefits of fixed braces – without metal brackets. Instead, they feature clear, ceramic brackets, which blend in seamlessly with your smile.

At the beginning of your treatment, we’ll carefully attach a clear bracket to the front of each tooth. These brackets are connected by a thin, metal archwire, which will gently move your teeth into the perfect position.

You’ll need to pop back to see us every 6–10 weeks so we can see how things are improving and make any necessary adjustments. During your treatment, we’ll regularly change your archwires to maintain the right amount of pressure on your teeth. (Just enough to keep them heading in the right direction.)

When your smile is ready for its debut, we’ll fit retainers to prevent your teeth from moving. Fixed and/or removable retainers should be worn forever to protect your results. They are unobtrusive and won’t affect the appearance of your smile.

Are clear braces right for me?

If you’re looking for discreet teeth straightening, you’re in the right place. Invisalign is incredibly popular, but not everyone wants removable braces.

Clear braces are fixed to your teeth throughout your treatment, so there’s no chance of them disappearing. They’re also our most affordable invisible brace. Most importantly, they’re excellent at straightening teeth.

They can be used to treat a wide range of orthodontic concerns, including crowded teeth, rotated teeth, teeth that are widely spaced, and teeth that protrude. They can even improve the way your teeth bite together.

If you’re under 18 and qualify for NHS orthodontic treatment, you may also wish to discuss clear brace options from our private treatment list. Speak to your orthodontist for more details.

What are the benefits of clear braces?

Clear braces are a firm favourite among our patients, and for good reason:

  • They’re discreet. Clear, stain-resistant brackets will keep your treatment incognito.
  • They’re capable. They can treat the same concerns as fixed braces, but with more discretion.
  • They’re fixed in place. You won’t forget to wear them.
